About the Role
We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a permanent Radiation Therapist position at New Zealand's first outreach treatment site. We invite applications from enthusiastic Radiation Therapists who are interested in working in Palmerston North.
The Regional Cancer Treatment Service (RCTS) serves as the non-surgical cancer treatment provider for the central North Island, covering a population of 580,000 across the Midcentral, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Whanganui, and Wairarapa Districts. Historically, all radiation treatments have been provided in Palmerston North, but we are evolving to better serve our patients in the Taranaki and Hawkes Bay regions. This position is part of that transformative pathway.
RCTS is home to New Zealand's newest linear accelerator fleet (TrueBeam) and benefits from a state-of-the-art planning system (RayStation). We pride ourselves on a strong culture of patient-centered care, focusing on delivering high-quality Radiation Therapy to our large regional population.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following qualifications:
- Registration as a Radiation Therapist with the Medical Radiation Technologist Board (NZ) and a current practicing certificate.
- Effective communication skills, cultural competence, and the ability to integrate evidence-based best practice models into daily work.
- A proactive approach to personal development and a willingness to support the professional growth of others.
- Active participation in service improvement initiatives and promotion of evidence-based practices.
- Flexibility to work across multiple locations.
