About the Company
At Silver Fern Farms, we are dedicated to Creating Goodness from the Farms the World Needs. Our Processing Site in Takapau employs over 900 team members during peak season, making a significant contribution to the local communities in Central Hawkes Bay. Conveniently located 30 minutes north of Dannevirke and 50 minutes south of Hastings/Havelock North, our site is also just 15 minutes from the family-friendly town of Waipukurau.
About the Role
As we prepare for the New Year, we invite you to explore various opportunities within our Takapau team. We offer entry-level positions that require no prior experience, providing a pathway for career development in areas such as quality control, health and safety, and leadership.
In this role, you will complete on-the-job training and earn a minimum of $28.82 per hour, with additional earnings available during peak production periods. Typically, you will work around 40 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime at a rate of $43 per hour. Shifts are scheduled for eight hours in the evening, typically from 2:50 PM to 12:00 AM. We provide all necessary work clothing and safety gear.
Job Requirements
No experience is necessary; we will provide comprehensive training to help you succeed. We are looking for team members who are committed to attending work regularly, can collaborate closely with others, and possess a positive and hardworking attitude.
Candidates must be able to understand and comply with health and safety, quality, and technical requirements. Applicants should be eligible to work in New Zealand and must be 18 years or older to meet our audit requirements. Additionally, candidates must be able to pass pre-employment medical checks, criminal convictions checks, and physical fitness assessments.
