About the Role As a full-time WoF Automotive Technician at VTNZ Ashburton, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality vehicle inspections and services. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $33 to $40, reflecting our competitive remuneration package. We foster a supportive work environment where teamwork is essential. Requirements We are looking for a detail-oriented mechanic who is sociable, knowledgeable, and passionate about their trade. You should have a strong customer focus, with the ability to build rapport easily with clients. The ideal candidate will be available to work 40 hours per week, including some rostered weekends. While having a WoF Authority is preferred, it is not a requirement as we can assist you in obtaining this certification through our training center. To qualify, you should have a minimum of four years of full-time experience in repairs and maintenance covering all safety aspects of light on-road motor vehicles. If you hold a Level 4 qualification or higher in Automotive Engineering, this experience requirement can be reduced to three years. A minimum Class 1 NZ driver’s license or equivalent is also required.
