About the Role
We are inviting Expressions of Interest for the position of Electrical Foreperson. This role is hands-on and involves guiding a team of tradespeople and local workers on a new-build project. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality and safety while actively participating in the work alongside your team.
The position offers a competitive contracting rate of NZD $78.95 per hour for a standard 45-hour work week over five days. We provide flights from any major New Zealand airport, as well as meals, accommodation, and personal protective equipment. The schedule consists of 8 weeks on and 2 weeks off, with the potential for longer rotations.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A current NZ Electrical Practising Licence
- Previous electrical and site supervision experience
- A commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards
- Strong coordination skills for managing teams and supporting project planning
- Resilience to work in hot and humid conditions
Please note that due to travel restrictions, only New Zealand or US passport holders currently residing and working in New Zealand will be considered for this position. Candidates must also be willing to receive vaccinations for Flu, Tdap, and MMR, and will need to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. A full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence and a clean criminal record are essential.
Start dates will be determined based on visa authorization, medical clearance, and security checks, with a likely commencement in early to mid-2026. The application process is thorough, so attention to detail and patience are important.
