    About the Company At Tarora, we manage a remote private estate situated in the breathtaking Fiordland region, near the township of Te Anau. Our property is not only stunning but also poised for a series of exciting construction and development projects scheduled for Summer and Autumn 2024. We take pride in our commitment to excellence and are looking to enhance our team with dedicated professionals. About the Role We are currently seeking a Landscape Gardener to join our team and provide support to our onsite operations. In this role, you will play a key part in executing our landscape plans while ensuring that our projects run smoothly and efficiently. Duties and Responsibilities As a Landscape Gardener, your responsibilities will include: - Selecting appropriate materials, plants, and equipment to bring landscape plans to life. - Scheduling and coordinating landscape construction activities to adhere to project timelines. - Installing hardscape and softscape features such as gravel and paved areas, walls, fences, trellises, pergolas, ponds, and garden furniture. - Preparing seedbeds and growing sites, including areas designated for propagation. - Planting and transplanting trees, shrubs, flowers, and bulbs. - Preparing lawn areas by spreading topsoil and planting grass. Requirements We welcome applicants of all experience levels. The ideal candidate will possess: - Knowledge of plants, materials, garden maintenance, plant care, and landscaping equipment. - Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail. - The ability to work according to safety standards and adhere to best practices. - Effective time management skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. - A capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
