About the Role
We are seeking a key Advisor to support our ENR business, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we manage safety and quality across a diverse portfolio. In this position, you will lead and support incident investigations, assist with risk classification, and guide injury management in accordance with Ventia procedures.
Your responsibilities will include conducting site audits, monitoring operational risks, ensuring subcontractor compliance, and supporting performance reporting using our SHEQ systems. You will track actions in VenSafe, assist with audit schedules, monitor training compliance, and promote environmental initiatives throughout the project. Additionally, you will serve as a coach and mentor to our operational teams across the South Island, with travel required to various sites from Invercargill to Nelson a couple of times a week.
Requirements
To thrive in this role, you should possess a solid foundation in health and safety principles, coupled with hands-on experience in supporting operational teams in high-risk environments. A relevant qualification in Health and Safety is essential, and experience within Electrical or High Voltage environments is highly desirable. ICAM investigation training is also a requirement.
Additional qualifications include:
- Proven experience in incident investigations, audits, and risk assessments
- Familiarity with PowerBI and VenSafe, or the ability to learn new SHEQ tools and systems
- Strong communication skills with the capacity to coach and influence teams
- A full Class 1 NZ driver's license and a willingness to travel throughout the South Island
- The ability to work independently, effectively manage time, and prioritize tasks
