    About the Company At Pacific Helmets, we specialize in designing and manufacturing high-quality, precision composite Fire and Rescue helmets for both local and international markets. We manage the entire process in-house, from initial design to full-scale production. About the Role We are looking for a motivated Design Engineer to join our talented in-house design team. New Product Development: You will assist with the full lifecycle of product design, including concept, mechanical and composite design, stress analysis, prototyping, and Design for Manufacture (DFM). End-to-End Project Involvement: You will take designs from concept through prototyping and testing to final production, ensuring performance, reliability, and alignment with our high standards. Customer Support: You will provide comprehensive technical support for external vendor projects, including the creation of technical drawings, quoting, production oversight, and aftersales support. Manufacturing Collaboration: You will work closely with the production team to enhance processes, maintain and update technical drawings, and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality control measures. About You We are seeking a strong graduate in mechanical engineering or a related field, ideally with over three years of experience in mechanical design. You should possess proven mechanical design capabilities, with a solid understanding of materials, tolerances, and design for manufacture. Proficiency in CAD software is essential, along with experience in Product Data Management (PDM) systems and engineering revision control. You should be a natural problem-solver with strong analytical thinking skills. Being self-motivated, enthusiastic, and capable of managing diverse project workloads is crucial. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must, and we are looking for a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
