About the Role We are currently seeking a Production Team Leader for our afternoon shift, which operates from Monday to Friday, with hours from 12:00 PM to 9:30 PM. In this hands-on leadership role, you will lead, mentor, and manage a team of Production Operators. You will oversee the daily operations of the production line, providing essential support to both day and night shift teams. Your responsibilities will include training and guiding team members to ensure smooth and efficient production processes. As we continue to grow and innovate, you will also be involved in maintenance and troubleshooting tasks, requiring a proactive and resilient approach. Additionally, you will manage shift handovers and prepare detailed production reports. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should be a collaborative team player who is comfortable training others while also being capable of working autonomously to oversee daily production activities. This position involves hands-on management of high-speed equipment. We expect candidates to possess the following qualifications and skills: - A minimum of 2 years of production leadership experience in the food manufacturing industry - Proficiency in operating high-tech machinery, including troubleshooting capabilities - Strong report writing and organizational skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with all departments and levels, from operators to senior management - A positive attitude and the ability to motivate staff - Skills in continuous improvement, planning, and analysis - A relevant formal qualification will be advantageous Benefits This is a unique and exciting career opportunity with an innovative and successful New Zealand food manufacturer that aims for global impact.
