About the Role
We are currently seeking a Compliance Specialist to join our close-knit Compliance team, located in either our Wellington, Christchurch, or Palmerston North office. Flexible working from home options will be available in the future. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will be responsible for administering FMG's compliance functions. This includes collaborating with leaders across the Mutual to ensure adherence to compliance requirements, developing and executing processes for identifying and managing compliance obligations and risks, and providing recommendations for improvements to internal controls and business processes.
To thrive in this role, we are looking for a self-starter with a high attention to detail and strong analytical skills. The ability to manage multiple priorities while building and maintaining proactive relationships is essential. Ideally, you will have experience in the compliance and regulatory field, and experience in the insurance sector would be an added advantage. However, if you possess the right attitude and mindset, we are willing to provide training in insurance. It is crucial that you understand how to balance client and Mutual outcomes effectively.

- Excellent relationship-building skills
- Experience in the insurance sector is a plus, but not mandatory
