About the Role
We are currently seeking a passionate Reporting Analyst with strong commercial acumen and a keen interest in data for a 12-month fixed-term position. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the migration of our reporting and business intelligence assets to Snowflake. This position can be based in Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch. Your work will be crucial in helping us make data-driven decisions that enhance audience engagement, increase revenue and inventory, and ultimately improve experiences for our stakeholders and customers. You will provide valuable data and reports that assist in product, pricing, sales, and marketing decisions.
Here is what you can expect from this role:
- Migrate Power BI reports and dashboards from our SQL service databases to Snowflake.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the usability and content of existing reports.
- Work alongside Insights Analysts to develop data products, including external reports and newsletters.
- Partner with data engineers to construct the necessary data models for reports and dashboards.
- Identify data quality issues and collaborate with data engineers to resolve them.
- Proactively spot opportunities for improving data self-service efficiency and effectiveness.
What You Will Bring to Our Team
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in data or reporting environments.
- Business intelligence and/or analytics experience.
- Proficiency in working with large datasets.
- Strong technical skills, including experience with SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
- Experience in data engineering, such as modeling or DBT, is desirable.
- Familiarity with Google data products (e.g., Google Analytics, BigQuery, Google Cloud Services) is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and solution validation skills.
- The capacity to communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- A demonstrated ability to deliver reports and data requests in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
