Driver Operator – Class 5

About the Role We are currently looking for experienced Class 5 Driver Operators to join our Transport and Infrastructure division. This role is essential for supporting our road maintenance and construction activities throughout Auckland. Based at our Penrose depot, you will operate heavy vehicles and provide valuable assistance to on-site construction and maintenance teams. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: - Operate Class 5 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner. - Support various road construction and maintenance activities. - Operate additional plant equipment where you are licensed and competent. - Assist with general labor tasks and the use of hand tools. - Adhere to all site safety and operational procedures. - Maintain effective communication with supervisors and team members. Essential Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: - A full Class 5 New Zealand driver licence. - A strong sense of reliability and a solid work ethic. - A commitment to safe work practices. - Physical fitness and the capability to perform manual tasks. Desirable Qualifications While not mandatory, the following qualifications would be advantageous: - WTR endorsements. - Experience in civil construction driving. - The ability to operate multiple types of plant equipment.
