About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Foreman to join our team and lead by example on-site. In this role, you will manage key projects while operating a variety of heavy machinery across multiple civil sectors, including pavement construction, bulk earthworks, and civil infrastructure.
As a Civil Foreman Operator, you will be responsible for organizing and overseeing multiple projects and crews. Proficiency in operating excavators (10T-30T), graders (12M), dozers, and loaders is essential. Strong final trim skills will be crucial as you lead teams on highway roading and widening projects, full subdivisions, private land developments, bespoke rural works, and general civil infrastructure.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in pavement construction
- Experience operating a wide range of machinery, including graders and excavators (a Class 2 license or above would be advantageous)
- Confidence in reading and interpreting plans
- The ability to anticipate risks and implement practical solutions
- A reliable and motivated attitude, complemented by strong communication skills and a professional appearance
- A willingness to work across the wider Central Otago region, with a preference for candidates based in Cromwell
