CARTERS East Tamaki is a leading provider in the timber industry, dedicated to delivering exceptional service and quality products to our valued customers. We are currently looking for a Yardperson/Forklift Operator to join our dynamic customer services team in the Timber Yard.
About the Role
In this fast-paced and physically demanding role, no two days will be the same. Your primary focus will be on providing outstanding service to our customers in a timely, professional, and safe manner. Adaptability and versatility are crucial, as you will be responsible for picking orders, serving customers in the timber yard, and operating a combi forklift to load and unload customer orders onto delivery trucks.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following skills and experience:
- A full, clean New Zealand Driver's Licence
- Experience operating a combi forklift; F endorsement is desirable but not essential
- An OSH certificate
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build trust and rapport with customers
- Proven capability to learn new systems
- Physically fit, with the ability to handle occasional heavy lifting and manual tasks
