About the Role
We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our team at TruckStops Wellington due to an internal promotion. In this role, you will work under the guidance of the Service Foreman and Lead Hand, focusing on servicing and repairing top brands like Volvo, Hino, Mack, and Renault. You will also have the chance to mentor and train apprentice mechanics, sharing your expertise and shaping the future of the trade. Your efforts will help our customers maintain their operations smoothly through quality work that minimizes downtime.
Requirements
We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to delivering high-quality repairs. A safety-first mentality is essential, both for yourself and your team. We value a positive attitude, a can-do spirit, and a love for being part of a collaborative team culture.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Heavy Diesel Mechanics, preferably with NZQA qualifications in Heavy Road Transport or Heavy Plant and Equipment. A Class 5 license is preferred, but if you do not have one, we can assist you in obtaining it. Most importantly, we seek someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys new challenges, and values teamwork.
