About the Role
We are excited to invite applications for the position of Asbestos Removalist in Tauranga. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a leading asbestos removal company that values safety and expertise. The position is temp-to-perm, allowing you to start immediately and transition into a permanent role as you grow with us.
In this position, you will work on a variety of projects, ensuring the safe removal of asbestos-containing materials from commercial, industrial, and residential properties. You will be responsible for adhering to environmental regulations and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Occasionally, this role may require travel and overnight stays.
What You'll Do
- Remove asbestos-containing materials safely and efficiently from various properties.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations during the handling and disposal of asbestos waste.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout each project.
- Follow health and safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) properly.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in asbestos removal or a related construction/trades role.
- Strong knowledge of asbestos removal techniques and safety procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, thriving in a team environment.
- Current asbestos removal certification and a valid driver's license are essential.
