About the Role We are excited to offer a full-time position as a Cook’s Assistant at our James Wattie Retirement Village in Nelson. The working hours for this role are from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and we can provide flexibility regarding the days worked. In this position, you will assist our chefs in preparing nutritious and high-quality meals for all residents. You will play a vital role in the preparation and presentation of food while closely collaborating with and supporting your colleagues. About You To thrive in our supportive and caring environment, we are looking for candidates who possess the following: - A willingness to obtain a New Zealand Certificate in Cookery (Level 3) if not already held - Proven experience in food preparation - A reliable, friendly, and professional demeanor - A strong focus on food hygiene and cleanliness Please note that, while we welcome applications from overseas candidates, applicants must have New Zealand work rights due to immigration requirements.
