About the Role We are currently seeking a reliable cleaner to join our team in Kerikeri, specifically at Kerikeri High School. This position offers a friendly team environment where you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe space for students and staff. While you will be working outside of school hours, you may have the opportunity to interact with teachers and the public, so strong interpersonal skills are essential. Key Responsibilities In this role, your primary responsibilities will include: - Vacuuming and mopping floors - Performing general cleaning duties - Emptying bins and removing rubbish - Wiping desks, surfaces, and high-touch areas - Replenishing cleaning supplies as needed Schedule This is a permanent part-time position with the following schedule: - Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM - 7.5 hours per week - 40 weeks per year, plus an additional 4 weeks for term cleans Requirements To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria: - New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand work visa - Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice background check - Reliable transportation and a working mobile phone - Proficient verbal and written English communication skills - High attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions - Capability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team Benefits We offer a competitive hourly wage of $27.80, along with uniform, equipment, and training provided to ensure you succeed in your role.
