About the Role The Antarctic season runs from October 2025 to March 2026, with deployment expected around October. While the return dates will be confirmed later, we are looking for dedicated individuals ready to embrace this extraordinary experience in one of the most isolated yet stunning locations on Earth. This role is not for everyone; it requires a strong work ethic and a willingness to adapt to a challenging environment. You will be part of a large commercial construction project focused on interior flooring installation. Your responsibilities will include preparation work, base leveling, laying carpet tiles, installing rolled vinyl flooring, and ensuring clean, accurate finishes. While your tasks may vary, precision and consistency are key, and experience in commercial flooring installation is essential. Requirements This opportunity is limited to New Zealand and US citizens who hold New Zealand or US passports and are currently residing and working in New Zealand. Applicants must be willing to receive vaccinations for Flu, Tdap, and MMR. Please note that these positions are not 'fly in fly out'; you will be stationed on-site for an extended period, working long hours, six days a week. Successful candidates must pass medical and dental checks, obtain security clearance, and adhere to any required notice periods and flight availability. A pre-employment drug and alcohol test is also mandatory. Additionally, a Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence and a clean criminal record are required. Please be prepared to travel to Tauranga for medical and dental exams, with costs for testing and flights covered for those traveling from outside the Bay of Plenty.
