About the Role
We are thrilled to announce an opportunity to join our dedicated team at Bob Scott Retirement Village in Petone as a Maintenance Person. This casual position offers flexibility, allowing you to work as needed.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing effective maintenance and preventative maintenance services to ensure the safety, repair, and appearance of our buildings, equipment, facilities, and grounds.
- Assisting residents with repairs and maintenance in their homes.
- Adhering to all health and safety policies to ensure the safety of residents, staff, and visitors.
- Collaborating closely with and supporting your colleagues.
About You
To succeed in our dynamic environment, we are looking for candidates who possess:
- Previous experience in a maintenance role, a trade qualification, or completion of an apprenticeship.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Proven customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with residents.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively both in a team and independently as required.
- A reliable, friendly, and professional demeanor.
