About the Role
We are currently looking for a Machine Operator to join our high-performing nightshift crew at the Remanufacturing Plant. If you are comfortable with technology, possess strong communication skills, and are driven to grow, this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for.
As a Machine Operator, you will play an essential role in transforming New Zealand radiata pine into precision, premium timber products. This hands-on, fast-paced position is ideal for individuals who enjoy practical work, have a keen eye for detail, and take pride in contributing to a team that emphasizes quality and excellence.
This position operates on a Monday to Thursday nightshift schedule, with a guaranteed minimum of four 10-hour shifts per week and opportunities for overtime. We offer competitive pay, overtime rates for hours worked beyond a total of 40, and nightshift allowances linked to attendance. Shifts commence at 4:00 PM, and to ensure our nightshift team benefits from a three-day weekend, overtime of up to 2 hours may be required at the end of each shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor cutline machines to maintain smooth production flow and efficiency
- Set up and adjust machine settings as required
- Conduct regular quality checks on timber products
- Load and unload timber during infeed and outfeed processes
- Ensure product quality through careful inspection and attention to detail
- Support improved recoveries through accurate machine operation
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Communicate clearly and work collaboratively with the team
