If you are looking to advance your career, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. About the Role We are currently seeking a full-time team member for our Porirua store. In this role, you will serve as the administrative "go-to" person for our furniture department. Your responsibilities will include coordinating stock tasks such as managing container orders from the distribution center, conducting branch transfers, and handling customer orders. You will also actively manage customer repairs and servicing, ensuring that faulty products are tagged and liaised with our service agents and suppliers. Keeping our service database up to date is essential, as is providing timely updates to customers regarding the status of their repairs while maintaining outstanding customer service. Additionally, you will assist with various administrative duties, including processing credit and debit invoices, claims, and reconciliations. You will also be responsible for running weekly and monthly reports for repairs and service jobs as required by the Proprietor. Communication with customers about stock arrivals and organizing deliveries will also be part of your role. It is important to be health and safety conscious, as the role may involve heavy lifting. Requirements To be successful in this position, you should bring the following skills and experience: - At least 1 to 2 years of solid administrative experience in a busy enterprise. - Extensive customer service experience and/or retail management experience is highly desirable. - The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, showcasing a flexible and proactive attitude. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage your own workflow. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an understanding of the importance of confidentiality. - Good numeracy skills, with the ability to handle calculations. - Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in MS Word and MS Excel, is essential. - Familiarity with the Fair Trading Act and Consumer Guarantees Act is desirable. - A high level of energy, ambition, and confidence. - An approachable and down-to-earth demeanor, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
