About the Role
As a Transport Allocator based in East Tamaki, you will collaborate with various teams across our branch network to effectively allocate and manage drivers. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Allocating drivers for deliveries and pickups of hire equipment from customer locations.
- Representing the Kennards Hire brand professionally at all times.
- Creating, updating, and finalizing hire schedules and purchase orders.
- Managing the service and maintenance of our delivery vehicle fleet.
- Ensuring drivers are well-informed about essential safety information before equipment leaves the branch.
- Managing requirements for contract drivers and ordering them as needed.
About You
We are looking for someone who is adaptable to changing priorities and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and resolve scheduling issues.
- Excellent communication skills to follow directions, seek clarification, and share information with team members.
- Effective time management skills to plan and reschedule as priorities change.
- A proven ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
