About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and motivated Companion Animal Veterinarian to join our friendly and experienced team in Winton. This position is ideal for an experienced companion animal veterinarian looking to take on a leadership role or a mixed animal veterinarian eager to focus on companion animals and enhance their skills in a new direction. For the right candidate, there is potential for this role to evolve into a Clinical Lead – Small Animal position. In this role, you will work alongside a dedicated team of veterinarians and nurses to provide high-quality care through consultations, surgeries, diagnostics, and client education. You will play a crucial role in the daily operations of the clinic, caring for hospitalized patients and assisting clients in making informed decisions regarding their pets’ health. Additionally, there is ample opportunity to participate in wellness initiatives, such as weight control clinics and preventative health programs. If you are looking to grow into a leadership position, this role is a fantastic opportunity to begin building that experience. Your key responsibilities will include: - Ensuring high standards in surgical, diagnostic, and clinical processes - Building strong relationships with clients through effective communication and service - Supporting wellness and health maintenance programs - Maintaining Health & Safety standards and contributing positively to team culture About You: We are looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively within a team and is dedicated to providing excellent patient care. You may be a newer veterinarian with a strong foundation seeking to expand your skills, or an experienced veterinarian ready for a fresh challenge. The ideal candidate will possess: - A BVSc (or equivalent) and be eligible to practice in New Zealand - Strong clinical skills with a proactive, team-oriented mindset - Excellent communication and time management abilities - An interest in developing leadership skills over time Why Join Us?
