About the Role We are currently seeking enthusiastic Casual Catering Assistants to join our team at the Waiouru NZ Defence Site. This position will require flexibility, as hours will be based on business needs. Located in the beautiful Ruapehu district, Waiouru is surrounded by stunning outdoor activities such as fly fishing, hunting, great walks, skiing, and mountain biking. The tight-knit community here is vibrant and offers numerous events to engage with. Your Responsibilities As a Catering Assistant, you will be responsible for front-of-house duties, which include barista skills, cash handling, food preparation and presentation, dining room setup, serving meals, and providing excellent customer service. Your role will be vital in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. About You We are looking for candidates who are hardworking and possess a friendly, outgoing personality with a positive attitude. While previous experience in a similar role is preferred, we are willing to provide full training for the right person. You should be able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment and demonstrate a passion for great food and customer service. Requirements - Candidates must be able to pass a police clearance. - Applicants should have New Zealand residency or a valid NZ work visa.
