Hairdressing Tutor

Position: Hairdressing Educator (Fixed-term, Part-time) Are you a skilled and passionate Hairdresser looking to inspire and educate the next generation of Hairdressing professionals? WelTec is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Hairdressing Educator. About the Role: WelTec is committed to meeting the increasing demand for trained Hairdressers by offering comprehensive training programs for aspiring professionals and salon apprentices. As a Hairdressing Educator, you will play a pivotal role in imparting your expertise to our full-time students and industry trainees. Key Responsibilities: - Delivering courses, conducting assessments, and moderating evaluations - Managing resources essential for the learning process - Providing regular progress reports - Collaborating effectively within an academic team You will receive support from a team of experienced Hairdressing educators throughout your role. Experience and Qualifications: - Minimum of seven years of experience in Hairdressing - New Zealand Certificate in Hairdressing, Level 4, or equivalent international qualification - Established professional network in the industry - Strong planning and organizational skills - Ability to engage with students effectively While preference will be given to candidates with a tertiary teaching qualification, applications from experienced Hairdressers willing to pursue teaching qualifications will also be considered.
