About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Senior Fabricators to join our team. If you have a passion for stainless steel and possess at least three years of industry experience or have completed a Level 4 Certificate in Light Fabrication, we would love to hear from you.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing, initiating, and leading jobs from start to finish, collaborating with Project Engineers and the trade team to ensure timely and high-quality job completion.
- Providing clarity, direction, and hands-on support to team members for various jobs, projects, and tasks.
- Offering leadership and mentorship to junior team members, including on-the-job coaching.
- Fabricating stainless steel vessels, pipe runs, ducting, and transitions to meet food-grade standards.
- Reading and interpreting CAD drawings.
- Conducting TIG welding with light gauge materials, including sanitary welds with back purge.
About You
We are looking for a motivated, solutions-focused team player who takes pride in delivering exceptional results. You should possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least five years of experience in light gauge stainless steel fabrication, ideally to food-grade standards. Significant TIG welding experience is essential.
- A Level 4 NZ Certificate in Engineering Fabrication (Trade) with strands in Light Fabrication, an equivalent qualification, or you should be a journeyman.
- Experience working with 304 and 316 stainless steel.
- Obtained NZS 4703, NZS 4711, or ASME IX tickets.
- A proactive and positive attitude towards health and safety.
- The right to live and work in New Zealand.
