About the Role We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning Assistant to join our team at Burnham Military Camp in Canterbury. In this part-time permanent position, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of Defence facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all personnel. Your Responsibilities In this role, your key responsibilities will include: - Cleaning and sanitizing various surfaces, including floors, bathrooms, windows, and equipment. - Maintaining both soft and hard floor surfaces through vacuuming, mopping, polishing, and sealing. - Handling waste appropriately and replenishing cleaning and bathroom supplies. - Responding promptly to urgent cleaning needs and spills. - Adhering to all health, safety, and infection control procedures in line with Defence standards. About You We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualities: - A team player with a flexible, can-do attitude and strong communication skills. - Physically fit, reliable, and able to work independently when required. - Previous experience in a similar cleaning or facilities role is preferred. - A commitment to high standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation. - Ability to pass a police clearance and meet Defence site requirements.
