About the Role
We are currently seeking an Advanced Clinician in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy to join our Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). This part-time, permanent position will focus on supporting women with chronic pelvic pain through the delivery of pre and post-operative care.
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating care and developing processes to ensure long-term success for our patients. The position offers up to 20 hours per week (0.50 FTE), with the potential for flexibility in FTE based on the right candidate's needs. Additionally, remote work options are available alongside hospital and outpatient services. The role is based in Auckland and will provide support to women across the North Island.
About the Team/Service/Location
The New Zealand Female Pelvic Mesh Service is a newly established national service operating from two hubs, Northern and Southern, with the Waitemata District hosting the Northern hub. Our IDT takes a collaborative approach to service delivery, aiming to provide the best treatment options for women and their whanau while connecting them with appropriate home-based services throughout the North Island.
Our team comprises a diverse range of medical and allied health professionals dedicated to delivering holistic, patient-centered care for women who have experienced complications from pelvic mesh implants. These women are eligible for free health and disability care in New Zealand, regardless of their eligibility for Treatment Injury cover with the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC).
We are excited to build a specialist IDT that will provide coordinated support to these women, recognizing the need for flexibility in our work. Team members will have the option to work remotely as well as engage directly with hospital and outpatient services for pre and post-operative care.
