They are currently seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join their dedicated team and provide exceptional service to their established clientele.
About the Role
In this position, you will be responsible for various aspects of patient care, including pre and post-dental care, treatment planning, and appointment scheduling. You will assist in a range of dental procedures such as orthodontics, special needs dentistry, pediatrics, and full mouth rehabilitation.
Your duties will also include implementing infection prevention and control procedures, transcribing the dentist's dictation for dental charting, and maintaining dental equipment and instruments. Additionally, you will manage sterilization and disinfection processes as well as monitor stock and supply levels.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess training and experience in dental assisting. Familiarity with dental practice management software, specifically EXACT, is essential. You should have proficiency in both written and spoken English, along with excellent communication skills.
A solid understanding of the Ministry of Health, ACC, and WINZ systems is preferred. We are looking for someone with strong observational skills, problem-solving abilities, and computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel.
