We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Structural Steel Fabricators for various infrastructure and commercial projects throughout New Zealand.
About the Role
We are hiring full-time Structural Steel Fabricators who will be responsible for the placement, securing, and tying of structural steel components according to engineering plans. Your role will be crucial in ensuring structural integrity and compliance with safety standards. These positions are full-time and permanent, with site locations determined by project demands across New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Interpret engineering plans and drawings to accurately place and secure structural steel components.
- Tie reinforcement steel using appropriate techniques for various reinforcement systems.
- Collaborate effectively with site teams to ensure timely and safe installation of steelwork.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and quality standards on-site.
- Work efficiently within large construction teams while meeting strict deadlines.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you will need:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in structural steel placement and reinforcement tying, either locally or overseas.
- The ability to read and work from technical and engineering drawings.
- Strong physical fitness and manual dexterity.
- A solid understanding of safety procedures and quality control in steel construction.
- Experience in commercial, civil, or infrastructure construction projects is preferred.
- Relevant trade experience or qualifications will be advantageous.
Nationwide Opportunity and Travel
While this role is listed in Auckland, we have opportunities across all regions of New Zealand, depending on project requirements. The regions include:
North Island: Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington.
South Island: Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland.
We invite applicants from any of these areas, and candidates must be willing to travel or relocate within the country as needed. Relocation costs will be covered by our company.
Benefits
We offer a competitive pay range of $25.00 to $32.00 per hour, with a minimum of 30 hours guaranteed per week. Our roles are full-time and permanent, and we provide personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools. You will have the opportunity to work on significant infrastructure and commercial projects, enhancing your skills and experience.
