About the Role
We invite applications for the position of Clinical Team Coordinator (CTC) to join our After-hours Nursing Team at Christchurch Hospital. In this permanent role, which operates at 0.6 FTE (24 hours a week), you will play a crucial role in assessing and ensuring optimal patient care. This will involve the appropriate allocation of medical and clinical resources during after-hours, weekends, and public holidays.
As a Clinical Team Coordinator, you will provide senior nursing leadership during these critical times. You will collaborate closely with team members from various clinical disciplines to foster a supportive, productive, and patient-centered environment that consistently delivers high-quality care.
About the Service
Our Clinical Team Coordinators are instrumental in coordinating after-hours team resources to uphold the Right Person, Right Patient, Right Time philosophy in patient care.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have at least five years of experience in acute medical or surgical settings, demonstrating a broad-based background with substantial time in acute care. We are looking for a senior nurse with leadership experience, and you should either have completed or be working towards a postgraduate qualification in Health Assessment.
You will need to possess the ability to build positive relationships with a variety of health professionals within the acute clinical setting. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as you will serve as the key point of liaison after hours. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and motivated by the dynamic and challenging nature of this role. You should thrive on autonomy and possess the leadership skills necessary to guide our nursing team.
Additionally, you must be a Registered Nurse with the Nursing Council of New Zealand, holding a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
