About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic Garden Team Member to join our Porirua team in a full-time, permanent capacity, working from Tuesday to Saturday. This role is hands-on and varied, ensuring that no two days are the same. You will be actively engaged in our garden department, assisting customers in selecting the right plants, products, and solutions for their gardening needs, while also maintaining the department's appearance and functionality. On a day-to-day basis, your responsibilities will include: - Providing friendly and knowledgeable in-store and after-sales service - Assisting customers with plant selection, fertilizers, tools, and garden hardware - Maintaining stock levels, merchandising, and product presentation - Building your product knowledge to enhance the customer experience - Working safely and contributing to a positive team environment About You We hope you will bring the following qualities to our team: - A genuine passion for gardening and strong knowledge of plants and garden products - A customer-first attitude complemented by excellent communication skills - An enthusiastic and reliable "can-do" approach - Confidence in using computers and learning new systems - Strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt in a busy environment - The physical capability to handle manual tasks such as lifting, standing for extended periods, and ladder use - A good awareness of health and safety practices While retail experience is beneficial, your attitude, energy, and gardening knowledge are what matter most to us.
