About the Role
We are seeking an Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) Advisor to join our team in Upper Hutt. In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the safety and well-being of our employees. You will be responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive environmental, safety, and health programs to support our operations.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will promote a positive and proactive safety culture throughout the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our environmental, health, and safety performance. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing policies, procedures, and training programs that foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Additionally, you will conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, and incident investigations while providing guidance and training to employees. You will monitor and report on key metrics to drive continuous improvement and participate in the development and implementation of safety and environmental management systems.
About You
The ideal candidate will hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field. You should have a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing or engineering sectors. A strong working knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations and best practices is essential.
We value excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills, along with effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with employees at all levels. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and experience with safety management software are also required. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of ESH is crucial.
