About the Role We are excited to offer a full-time opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join our Physiotherapy Outpatients team at Dunedin Hospital. This role, which involves a salary range of $82,856 to $110,210, is well-suited for individuals with experience in musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, and rehabilitation clinical practices, or those eager to develop their skills in these areas. As part of our team, you will work with a diverse population, addressing a variety of conditions, including first presentation ACC injuries primarily in an outpatient setting. Strong capabilities in musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, and rehabilitation practices are essential, along with the ability to work effectively and autonomously. Our service encompasses various specialties, providing opportunities to develop skills in treating: - Breathing pattern disorders - Respiratory pathologies - Cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation - Intermittent claudication - Lymphoedema - Burns and scar management We are looking for a candidate who understands how to work with patients to achieve functional and vocational goals, optimize outcomes, and facilitate effective discharge and self-management. Participation in weekend and on-call service rosters for Dunedin Hospital's acute inpatient services is also a requirement. About You We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and enthusiastic team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be self-driven to enhance service quality while collaborating with others in our supportive Physiotherapy team. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in musculoskeletal assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation. Experience with both routine and complex rheumatology and orthopaedic conditions, particularly in managing persistent pain and chronic pathologies, would be advantageous. We value clinicians who can work independently while actively engaging with the team. Your role will also involve teaching and supporting rotational physiotherapy staff, Allied Health Assistants, and students.
