We offer a variety of permanent (full-time and part-time) and casual options, allowing for flexibility to accommodate your other commitments or the ability to work regular rostered shifts.
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting our clients in achieving their personal goals and reaching their potential through both practical and emotional support. You will work as part of a supportive team, following individualized care plans. Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Meal preparation
- Community outings and integration
- Medication administration
- Personal care (such as showering and toileting)
- Home management tasks
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate a genuine desire to help and support others, striving for excellence in everything they do. While previous healthcare or caregiving experience is advantageous, the following qualifications are also beneficial:
- Excellent communication skills
- Relevant healthcare qualifications
- A full New Zealand driver's license and reliable transport
At HealthCare NZ, we value diversity and are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace that reflects the communities we serve. If you are passionate about making a difference and are interested in a rewarding career with us, we would love to hear from you.
Benefits
We are dedicated to our employees and take pride in hiring and training the best talent across all areas of our organization. We provide a clear career pathway through our learning and development framework, which supports staff in achieving fully funded NZQA qualifications. Compensation for this role ranges from $23.50 to $29.10 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
By joining us, you will become part of New Zealand's largest community healthcare provider, with opportunities to gain experience in various disciplines, including aged care, disability, mental health, and rehabilitation.
