About the Role
We are looking for an innovative and passionate Physiotherapist to join our Allied Health Team as a Clinical Leader in Physiotherapy. In this role, you will provide clinical, professional, and cultural leadership to the physiotherapy team on a day-to-day basis. You will play a key role in the strategic planning of the department and will be involved in managing clinical caseloads. Additionally, you will support the Allied Health Team Manager in various clinical aspects, including recruitment, onboarding, and rostering.

Your strong communication skills will allow you to delegate responsibilities effectively and build trust within the team. As a Clinical Leader, you will demonstrate resilience in the face of change and engage in honest, courageous conversations to drive improvements and equitable outcomes for the individuals and families we care for.
Essential Skills and Experience
- A minimum of five years of clinical experience
- Experience in clinical teaching, training, and staff development
- Leadership or management experience is desirable
- Ability to make judgements in complex situations with incomplete information
- Experience in case management
- Knowledge of New Zealand Health and Disability sector standards and the Privacy Act in a health context
- Involvement in quality and service improvement activities
- Experience with policy and procedure review and development
- Competency in te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori, or a commitment to learning and growth in these areas
- Experience in projects or initiatives that promote the principles of Te Tiriti and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches in healthcare settings
