About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Business Advisory team. In this role, you will bring three to four years of accounting experience in a Chartered Accountant environment. You will have the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of business sectors, and we are looking for someone who possesses strong accounting skills, commercial acumen, and an innovative mindset. Our ideal candidate is a go-getter who aspires to deliver true advisory services and provide added value beyond compliance.
While a degree in accounting is preferred, we recognize that relevant experience can also be valuable. Your motivation and commitment to being part of a successful and growing business are essential. You should be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to complete tasks while also being able to delegate responsibilities to others.
To excel in this role, you will need to understand financial concepts and be an effective communicator. Building and maintaining close relationships is crucial, as is being able to work independently and collaboratively within our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply accounting standards and prepare financial statements while managing reporting functions.
- Prepare management reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for clients.
- Stay informed about tax laws, prepare accurate tax returns, and identify tax planning opportunities.
- Identify business challenges, develop growth plans, and provide financial advice.
- Understand filing requirements, recognize trust opportunities, and implement accounting packages.
