About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Scaffolders to join our team in the Hawkes Bay region. This position offers multiple roles, requiring individuals who are reliable and motivated. Flexibility is key, as you may be asked to work across various locations in New Zealand to assist with different projects.
As a Scaffolder, you will be responsible for dismantling temporary metal scaffolding to establish work platforms and structures on building and industrial sites. Your duties will include:
- Determining job requirements by planning and arranging scaffolding.
- Selecting and preparing the necessary materials for each job.
- Loading and unloading scaffolding and equipment at the worksite.
- Erecting scaffold structures by lifting and positioning sections, and bolting pipes together.
- Establishing platforms and implementing safety measures.
- Inspecting and repairing scaffolding to ensure safety and stability.
- Installing guard rails and safety netting.
- Keeping the workspace, equipment, and tools clean.
- Adhering to health and safety requirements.
- Performing any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 2.5 years of relevant scaffolding experience or possess a relevant qualification.
- A friendly demeanor, strong time management skills, and a solid work ethic are essential.
- Flexibility to work in various locations across the country.
- A commitment to learning and developing skills within the industry.
- A dedication to health and safety practices on-site.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Please note that you may be required to work in multiple locations throughout New Zealand, including areas such as Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Taranaki, Gisborne, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.
Benefits
This is a permanent, full-time role, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours of work per week. Pay rates range from a minimum of $29.66 to a maximum of $34.00 per hour, depending on your experience.
