Storeman / Machine Operator - Cromwell

About the Role We are currently seeking a Storeman/Machine Operator to join our team in Cromwell. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking individual looking to advance their career. The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $25 to $27, with weekly pay and a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a counterbalance fork hoist to load and unload containers and trucks on-site. You will also perform various duties in a factory setting, which may include operating machinery and general production tasks. Local deliveries will be part of your responsibilities, so comfort in driving a trailer is essential. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is crucial to ensure a safe and efficient environment, and you will be expected to follow health and safety guidelines. Collaboration with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines is also a key aspect of this role. Requirements To be successful in this position, you will need to meet the following criteria: - Physically fit, with the ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting (15-25 kg) - Flexibility to work extra hours when needed - Strong work ethic with the ability to work well both in a team and independently - A full Class 1 NZ driver's license is required, with an F endorsement being non-essential - A current forklift license (OSH Certificate) is preferred but not mandatory - Own transport is necessary - Ability to drive and reverse a trailer Benefits Joining our team means you will enjoy a supportive work environment that emphasizes teamwork and safety.
