About the Role
We are currently seeking Shift Managers for our Chicking® franchise locations in Christchurch. This position requires flexibility for shift work, including weekends and late nights, as we have multiple vacancies available.
As a Shift Manager, you will oversee store operations during your shift, ensuring the achievement of sales targets, operational efficiency, and profitability. You will supervise and guide the team, assist management with staffing decisions, and uphold high standards of customer satisfaction and product quality.
Requirements
To be considered for the Shift Manager position, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- A Level 3 Certificate or a minimum of one year of relevant experience. Six months of experience is preferred.
Benefits
We offer competitive wages ranging from $24 to $28 per hour, with a minimum requirement of 30 hours of work per week.
Job Duties
In your role as a Shift Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing store operations during your shift
- Achieving sales and profitability targets
- Supervising and directing the workforce
- Assisting in staffing decisions, including hiring, training, evaluating, and scheduling
- Ensuring compliance with Company standards and policies, including operational, Food Safety, and Health & Safety procedures
- Providing coaching and support to the team regarding procedures and policies
- Working towards achieving financial targets set by the restaurant's annual operating plan and quarterly forecasts
- Managing costs of goods sold (COGs), food waste, labor, cash variance, and other variables to meet targets
- Conducting accurate and timely reporting
- Operating within established expenditure guidelines and fostering a customer service culture
- Contributing to staffing and stock management
- Resolving conflicts among staff and addressing basic customer complaints
Additionally, your role will involve:
- Demonstrating and explaining our offerings to customers
- Selling food, beverages, clothing, and other goods
- Accepting payments using various methods and preparing sales invoices
- Assisting with stock management and participating in inventory checks
- Stacking, displaying, and wrapping goods for sale
