About the Role We are currently seeking motivated and reliable team players to join our Inwards Locals Team. This team plays a vital role in managing local stock deliveries as they arrive at our Distribution Centre. In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for processing incoming local stock, ensuring it is unloaded, checked, receipted, and ready for distribution. This role offers a variety of tasks in a fast-paced and supportive environment. What You Will Be Doing - Unpacking cartons weighing between 1kg and 30kg - Scanning and sorting stock by barcode - Using RF scanners to track items - Assisting with closing, labelling, and preparing stock for the sales floor - Operating pallet jacks, box cutters, and strapping machines - Bulk picking and managing stock locations - Adapting to changing priorities throughout the day This is a fixed-term position that will last until mid-January 2026. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with a pay rate of $30.28 per hour. Please note that this role is specifically to support our peak period, and during this busy time of year, we may not be able to approve extended leave, especially around Christmas and New Year. Additionally, we do not operate on public holidays. Requirements We are looking for candidates who: - Are physically fit and comfortable being on their feet throughout the day - Can lift and handle stock with care and accuracy - Have great attention to detail and strong time management skills - Enjoy problem-solving and thrive in a fast-paced environment - Can communicate clearly and work effectively both independently and as part of a team - Have previous warehouse or distribution experience (this is helpful but not essential) To be considered for this role, you must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
