About the Company At Extrastaff, we are dedicated to connecting motivated individuals with a variety of employment opportunities across Christchurch and the Canterbury region. We work with multiple clients in sectors such as construction, landscaping, general maintenance, and civil works, ensuring that our workforce meets the diverse needs of our clients. About the Role We are currently seeking hardworking general labourers who are ready to take on various tasks across different sectors. Your responsibilities may include general labouring, physically lifting and moving materials on-site, and collaborating with team members on construction, civil, and production projects. Safety is our top priority, and we require adherence to all occupational health and safety standards. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - A reliable and motivated work ethic, with the ability to work full 8-hour days (and up to 10 hours depending on the project) - A willingness to work both indoors and outdoors - Strong communication skills - A valid New Zealand Driver’s licence and reliable transportation - A current Site Safe certification - A good level of physical fitness and strong health and safety awareness - The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test - A positive attitude and a sense of humour Please note that a clean Ministry of Justice record is required, and you must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
