Our South division is highly regarded for its commitment to quality and excellence in service delivery across the country. We are currently seeking an experienced or emerging Driver Operator to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will assist with a wide range of construction, renewal, and maintenance projects in the Palmerston North area. Your responsibilities will include operating machinery such as excavators, rollers, graders, and trucks, while also utilizing hand tools as needed. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient use of materials, supplies, and equipment, as well as transporting, loading, and unloading machinery to and from work sites. Requirements To be successful in this position, you should be a physically fit and motivated individual. The following qualifications are essential: - A full Class 1 Licence and WTR (Wheel, Tracks, Rollers) - A Class 2 Licence is highly desired - An enjoyment for outdoor work and maintaining physical fitness - Reliability and a strong work ethic - A commitment to safe work practices Benefits At Downer, we are dedicated to fostering an environment where our employees can thrive.
