Class 4 Truck Driver - Aggregate Tipper

Immediate Start Available Temp to Perm Multiple Opportunities About the Company We are partnering with a nationally operated Civil Construction company that serves the Canterbury and Otago regions. This company specializes in delivering aggregate and materials to various sites. The role will be based at their Amberley yard, where you will report each morning. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Class 4 Driver for an immediate start based in Harewood. This position requires Tipper experience, physical fitness, and a willingness to work within a small trucking team. The role involves getting in and out of the cab multiple times a day and performing tasks on the back of the vehicle, including spotting and general truck cleaning duties. Effective communication skills and experience in reversing Class 4 vehicles are essential. A strong focus on Health and Safety is crucial, as your daily responsibilities will primarily involve working on highways. You will be working Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 or 5:30 PM, although there may be occasions where you finish earlier. Some Fridays may require early starts, around 4:00 or 5:00 AM, concluding by 2:00 or 3:00 PM. There are also opportunities for overtime on Saturday mornings during the summer months, along with the possibility of additional work leading up to Christmas. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should possess: - Proven experience as a Class 4 Driver - A valid Class 4 or higher license - The ability to reverse heavy vehicles - Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset - A willingness to pass a drug screen - A professional presentation, as you will be representing the client Benefits We offer a competitive hourly rate of $27 to $30, along with full PPE provided.
