About the Role
We are currently seeking casual support workers to join our caring team. This role offers flexible hours and allows you to engage with clients in a variety of ways. As a support worker, you will assist clients with their daily tasks, social activities, and work commitments. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Manual handling and personal care
- Housekeeping and meal preparation
- Driving clients to appointments, work meetings, and community events
- Assisting with passive exercises and stretches
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- A current, clean full driver's license
- The legal right to work in New Zealand
- Availability for weekend and evening shifts
- A Level 2, Level 3, or Level 4 health qualification is essential. Please note that applications without a health qualification may not be considered.
- Previous experience as a caregiver or support worker with similar clients
- Excellent communication skills
- A positive attitude, initiative, and a good sense of humor
- Reliability, punctuality, honesty, and a caring nature
