About the Role We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Service Centre Operator in a permanent full-time role based at our Rolleston Service Centre. This position offers a diverse range of responsibilities with a rural focus, combining hands-on work with customer service. In this role, you will: - Process customer orders and inquiries promptly, efficiently, and courteously - Operate fixed plant machinery - Take a proactive approach to environmental, health, and safety matters - Load and unload spreader and bulk trucks - Process fertilizer orders and manage stock control No prior expertise is required to begin this role, as we provide full on-site training and all necessary work-related protective equipment. About You You have a natural ability to connect with customers and understand the importance of delivering excellent service. You are a quick learner and eager to assist your colleagues when needed. Additionally, you will possess: - A reasonable level of fitness, as some heavy lifting may be required - A valid full Class 1 driver’s license (minimum requirement); a loader and forklift license (W, F endorsement) is desirable - Good communication skills and the ability to foster a positive team environment - A proactive attitude towards health, safety, and environmental management, ensuring the team returns home safely - Basic computer skills; however, training will be provided for our in-house systems About Us At Ballance, we are passionate about New Zealand and dedicated to the growth of our land and our people.
