About the Role
We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to join our team. In this full-time, permanent position, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our fully integrated stock recording system. Your role will involve driving efficiency, collaborating with key stakeholders, and maintaining seamless stock management in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Stock Management: Maintaining an accurate inventory system, ensuring timely stock reconciliation and necessary adjustments.
- Receipting & Transfers: Overseeing stock receipting, prioritizing urgent items, and managing daily stock transfers between our CDC branches.
- Issue Resolution: Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies, supplier shortages, and any issues related to damaged stock.
- Process Improvement: Implementing rolling stock counts, analyzing shrinkage, and recommending enhancements to our systems.
- Warehouse Support: Assisting staff with stock-related matters, performing customer order picking, and ensuring timely fulfillment of orders.
Key Relationships
In this role, you will work closely with various internal teams including the Warehouse Manager, warehouse staff, buyers, finance, and senior product managers. Externally, you will liaise with suppliers, pharmacy and hospital customers, and other clients.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this position, you should possess:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to drive successful outcomes.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills for tracking stock accuracy.
- Experience in inventory control, stock movement, and warehouse functions.
- Proficiency in computer systems with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive work approach.
