About the Role We are currently seeking a qualified On-Farm Refrigeration Service Technician to join our high-performing team in the Southland or Taranaki regions. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing on-farm milk cooling and tank solutions, ensuring the smooth operation of our nation's dairy systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact while enjoying the variety and independence that comes with working in a rural environment. What You Will Be Doing In this role, you will: - Install, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced milk cooling and dairy automation systems. - Provide exceptional on-farm service and after-sales support, becoming a trusted representative of our technical expertise. - Offer hands-on training to farmers, empowering them to maximize the benefits of their systems. - Collaborate with contractors, provide technical advice, and assist with field installations and events, such as Field Days. - Engage in continuous learning to enhance your skills and contribute to the development of training programs and standard operating procedures. - Utilize CRM tools to report insights, monitor competitor activity, and track innovations. Requirements To be successful in this position, you will need: - Trade certification in Refrigeration, Electrical, or Engineering. - Registration (or the ability to obtain registration) as an Electrical Service Technician. - A minimum of two years of experience in a service or technical role, with agricultural exposure being advantageous. - Strong fault-finding skills and a solid understanding of systems, along with the ability to work independently. - Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with clients. - Comfort with technology, including managing your own schedule and reporting key insights effectively.
