About the Role We are currently seeking a skilled Technician Mechanical to join our team in Rotorua, New Zealand. In this position, you will be responsible for heavy vehicle engine repairs and maintenance within our Rotorua branch, serving as a vital part of our operations. In this role, your contributions will include: - Providing exceptional service to our customers - Performing repairs and maintenance on heavy diesel products - Inspecting and replacing components as necessary - Engaging in engine rebuilding and reconditioning - Ensuring compliance with all relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, while promptly reporting any issues or incidents to the Operations Manager - Completing required documentation, including service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality documents, either through handwritten forms or business system input screens Requirements To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications: - Mechanical trades qualification or automotive technician certification with a focus on heavy diesel - Experience as a technician in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products - Ideally, experience in engine rebuilding and reconditioning - Strong diagnostic and IT skills Benefits We offer a competitive hourly rate structured as a permanent salary, along with overtime penalties.
