Whether it’s finding a home, securing a job, purchasing a car, or growing a business, we aim to be the first choice for Kiwis. Our platform also assists with everyday needs, such as locating the perfect bedside table or selling unused items. About the Role We are currently seeking a passionate Reporting Analyst with strong commercial acumen and a keen interest in data for a 12-month fixed-term position. This role will support the migration of our reporting and business intelligence assets to Snowflake. You will have the option to work from our offices in Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch. Your contributions will be essential in enabling us to make data-driven decisions that enhance audience engagement, increase revenue and inventory, and improve experiences for our stakeholders and customers. You will provide valuable data and reports to support our product, pricing, sales, and marketing strategies. Here is what you can expect from this role: - Migrate PowerBI reports and dashboards from our SQL service databases to Snowflake. - Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the usability and content of existing reports. - Work alongside Insights Analysts to develop data products, such as external-facing reports and newsletters. - Partner with data engineers to create the data models necessary for effective reporting and dashboarding. - Identify data quality issues and collaborate with data engineers to address them. - Proactively discover improvement opportunities for more efficient and effective data self-service. What You Will Bring to Our Team - A minimum of 3 years of experience in data or reporting environments. - Background in business intelligence and/or analytics. - Experience working with large datasets. - Strong technical skills, including proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Power BI. - Familiarity with data engineering concepts, such as modeling or DBT, is desirable. - Experience with Google data products (e.g., Google Analytics, BigQuery, Google Cloud Services) is a plus. - Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and solution validation skills. - The ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences. - A demonstrated ability to deliver reports and data requests in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. Benefits We believe you will thrive at Trade Me, and here’s why: Flexibility: We embrace flexible working arrangements. Our guideline encourages employees to be in the office 60% of the time, with the remaining time offering flexibility. We also provide support for a home office setup and utilities allowance to ensure your comfort. Wellness: We prioritize your physical and mental well-being, offering a variety of resources to support you. Leave: We understand the importance of taking time off, providing five days of wellness leave each year and ten days of sick leave from day one. Social: We foster a fun and celebratory environment, with company-paid lunches on payday, regular Friday gatherings, annual Trade Me awards, and more opportunities for social interaction. Learning: We are committed to your professional growth, offering on-the-job training, formal education, mentoring, and other developmental opportunities from day one. We understand that some candidates may hesitate to apply if they feel they do not meet every requirement. If you are excited about this opportunity, we encourage you to submit your resume along with a brief cover note explaining your interest in the role. Trade Me is an INZ accredited employer, and we value diversity in our workforce. We promote a flexible workplace where everyone is encouraged to reach their potential.
